DPF Baking
When your diesel particulate filter is too clogged to be blown clean it needs to be baked in order to have all of the soot removed.
We will remove the DPF in order to perform the baking procedure. After the DPF is removed we will test the air flow in order to compare after the baking. When our testing is complete, we bake the filter for 6 to 8 hours at 1,100 degrees in order to convert the soot to ash.
Once the ash converted, it is removed from the filter and it is disposed of in an environmentally safe fashion.
After that, we will inspect your filter to ensure that the flow rate has been properly restored to where it was before becoming clogged. Once the filter passes our inspection we will re-attach it to your exhaust assembly and you will be good to go.
